What is a Work Order?

Work orders are essentially the heart of the system. All submitted work requests are tracked in the work order module. Assign labor, track materials and inventory costs, juggle labor schedules and print work order reports using the Work Order Module.

The 'Issue' button sets the work order as flagged to be issued.

The 'Cancel' button cancels a work order and is typically used when authorization is required.

After a work order is closed or cancelled, you can reissue it.

The 'Cancel' button cancels a work order and is typically used when there is no authorization required.

Closing a work order will apply all of the actual costs associated with the work order. Work order costs are tracked for an entire branch of the asset tree. E.g. The costs for a work order in Room A-1 in Building Two will be rolled up through the whole building.

 

The 'Delete' button will prompt you to delete the work order and all references to the work order.

 

The 'History' button will display all tracked changes made to the work order.

 

The 'Print' button will display the work order reports in which you can modify and print.
